"WELL SON, IT'S LIKE THIS."
PAPA Bullfrog sounded thoughtful.
"YOU ARE GETTING BIGGER,
AND YOU WILL NEED TO EXPLORE THE BIG WORLD,
BUT FOR TODAY
I ONLY WANT YOU TO GO UP TO THE BIG OAK TREE
ON THE HILL OVER THERE. SEE?"
"Yep!"
Little Froggy jumped with glee,
"I'll just go to the big Oak Tree on the hill,
and then I'll come right back."
He promised, and for good measure he added,
"And I'll be careful.
I'll be really, reeeeally careful."
So Little Froggy hopped,
plop, plop, plop,
to the end of the log, and he jumped,
sploosh,
into the water, and he swam,
swish, swish, swish,
to the shore of the pond.
And then he started hopping
plop, plop, plop,
up the hill.
